San Francisco

San Francisco is known for its many landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Transamerica Pyramid and Alcatraz. It is also associated with thick rolling fog, steep hills and streetcars. The City by the Bay is the second most densely populated large city in the United States. During the California Gold Rush in the 1940s, San Francisco was the largest city on the West Coast.
